Daemeter is a leading independent consulting firm promoting sustainable development through responsible and equitable management of natural resources, particularly in Asia’s emerging economies. With offices in Indonesia and USA, we offer a wide range of professional services to support clients and partners in achieving their social and environmental objectives.

Daemeter provides services to the forestry, agriculture, finance, energy, mining and international development sectors, among others. Our clients range from domestic and multinational companies, to NGOs, donor agencies, governments and research organizations and our work often requires bridging interests among these diverse groups.

Our team comprises advisors, technical experts and project managers, with combined experience spanning many decades and a wide range of disciplines required to meet client objectives. With a diverse, multinational team, we have a unique ability to apply international standards of best practice within limitations imposed by national contexts, stakeholder concerns and local operating conditions.

Our team’s capabilities range from field surveys in remote rainforest landscapes in Borneo, to village liaison in rural Sumatra, to desk-based policy analysis and boardroom level advisory. Neil Franklin
Daemeter Consulting

Neil is Director of Corporate Sustainability at Daemeter Consulting, with more than two decades experiences leading and/or advising government, non-governmental and private sector entities, with an extensive network in Indonesia. He specialises in sustainable solutions to bridge complex environmental, social and multi-stakeholder interests, promoting sustainable business strategy in diverse, multi-cultural environments at grassroots and senior corporate level.
Neil holds degrees from Oxford University and University of York, UK, including a PhD on forest conservation, wildlife and protected area management. This involved the first studies on the endangered Sumatran rhino and Sumatran tiger, representing UK and Canadian charities.
Active in advising the private sector, He is a Special Advisor to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and Senior Advisor to the rapidly expanding Indonesian Business Council for Sustainable Development (IBCSD). Neil has completed Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) certified training on sustainability reporting.

Indrawan Suryadi
Daemeter Consulting

Indrawan is the GIS and Remote Sensing Manager at Daemeter Consulting, with more than 15 years of experiences in spatial analysis, geo-information management and remote sensing application.
He graduated from the Faculty of Forestry at the Bogor Agricultural University in 2002 and Professional Course on Geo-Information Management in International Institute for Geo-information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) in Enschede, the Netherlands, in 2005.
Indrawan has previously worked on remote sensing, spatial analysis related to land cover monitoring, carbon accounting, MRV and the development of reference emission levels using GIS as well as geo-database management in various organizations, including the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), the Nature Conservancy (TNC) in Kalimantan and Sulawesi, Tropenbos International, FAO-UNREDD programme, and UNDP-National REDD+ Task Force.

Bukhari is the Land Use Planning and Remote Sensing Specialist at Daemeter Consulting. He graduated from Soil Science (Agriculture Faculty) at Syiah Kuala University (UNSYIAH) and Master Degree (S2) Soil Science/Land Evaluation from Bogor Agricultural University.

He has professional experiences as consultant in Land Resource Management, Soil Survey, Remote Sensing, GIS Aplication more than 15 years in various organizations (Private Sector, Government and NGO). Years 2006-2009 as Remote Sensing /GIS Specialist at PT. Earthline, year 2010-2011 involved in the work of Watershed Management and Green Environmental (PNPM Project) as expert in Mapping and GIS/RS at the OWT Foundation. Year 2011-2015 as Land Resources Management and GIS Specialist for Featured Product Development/Local Economic Development (Prukab Program) at Ministry of Disadvantaged Areas (KPDT), year 2014 – 2016 at OWT foundation as expert Land Resources and GIS/Remote Sensing on project Tropical Forest Conservation Act (TFCA) in Kalimantan, Ecosystem Restoration Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park (UNESCO), Sustainable Landscape Partnership Project(Conservation International/CI), GIS/Remote sensing consultant at Tropenbos International Indonesia Programme/TBI).

Fauziah D Hayati
Daemeter Consulting

Fauziah, or Oje as she is affectionately called by colleagues and friends, joined Daemeter Consulting as as Spatial Data Analyst after graduating from the Forestry Faculty of Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) majoring in GIS and remote sensing. She focused on spatial distribution estimation of above ground biomass on dry land forest for her thesis.

Fauziah had worked as an independent surveyor and GIS analyst during her studies, including in projects covering forests in West Java, Central Kalimantan, and Papua provinces. She was also involved as an assistant in training programs for geographical information system for government officials. Before joining Daemeter, Fauziah worked in several projects with the private sector, including PT Hatfield Indonesia.
